Natural Gas Liquid Fractionation

In order for the different components of NGLs to be useful, they must be broken down once they are removed from the natural gas stream through the process of fractionation.

NGLs are recovered from natural gas streams because they are worth more as separate components than as BTUs in the gas stream.  Once the NGLs are recovered, they will be separated into their various pure constituents using distillation in a series of reboiler and refluxed distillation towers.
